MY BIRTHDAY POST

It was my birthday this past week, yes, Halloween baby, always! I turned the ripe age of thirty-one, which I honestly think is not as big of a deal as thirty was. When I turned thirty last year, I was like, here we go! This is my year. But really, I probably did the same thing I did the year before, which was to make excuses as to why I wasn't progressing and elevating my life the way I wanted to.

This year, though, I looked at my birthday from the perspective of, look you don't need to have it all sorted out, you definitely don't need to change what you're currently doing... but hey, you're turning another year older. What do you want for yourself? Where do you see yourself on your 32nd birthday? These questions resonated a little more for me, because I didn't feel like I had to make a drastic change right this second, but it was giving me food for thought.

So, what did I want to do with my life? What did I want from the remaining year, and what was I hoping for in 2024? Number one for me was prioritising this blog... I've always loved writing, and sharing my life and advice with people (even if it is just one reader), so here I am on Sunday afternoon writing a post I probably would have never shared last year. Secondly, I want to be more creative and get into that more, I am getting back into vlogging, which I used to enjoy doing... So stay tuned for even more YouTube videos coming to my channel. Other than that, I want to get into a healthy routine that means controlling my anxiety by being less controlling (if that makes sense), I'm an absolute psycho when it comes to life and my schedule, so trying to go with the flow a bit more and not stress over the little things is something I definitely need to get a handle on and work through. This will then let me get better sleep, and help with my other day-to-day struggles. #firstworldproblems

This time next year, I can definitely say I will be moving! Yes, the professional mover is moving again in a few months, hopefully by the end of next year it will be a place I can actually turn into a home rather than a temporary space. And you can be sure that I will share that all with you.

Until my next birthday though... what I will say is, be kinder to yourself, make your goals a priority, and go with the flow! HA
